Happy Memorial Day everyone.

In Memory

I know that I have'nt posted anything for a while, but I had to on this day.

It's hard to believe that 10 yrs. ago today, our country was changed forever. I was in Myrtle Beach SC with my husband and family. I got up that morning and went into the living room and the Today show was on. I saw that the first tower was on fire and at first they were'nt sure what was going on. They had heard that a plane had hit it, but they could'nt confirm it. Then, I sat there and watched while the second plane flew straight into the 2nd tower. I looked at my husband and said "This was no accident." or something like that. Then to hear about the Pentagon and the plane in Shanksville PA, I knew that we were under attack. I also remember driving around that same day or the next day and seeing all the signs saying God Bless America or talking about us getting Bin Ladin. And 10 yrs. later, we finally did get him.

Those are my memories of that day.

In memory of all the 3,000 plus people that we lost that day. May God continue to bless America.

Never forget.

My First DC Concert.

Yesterday, I went to my first DC concert at BG. He was awsume! I see now why you all who've already seen him call him a rock god. I enjoyed the whole show, although it was a little too short for me. Only an hour and an half long.

He was so engaging with the audience. He seemed to be so excited to be there and to get to see his fans again. He was so energetic and ready to rock. He had fun and laughed and just had a good time.

He played a new song for us, "Paper Heart." It is so good. Hopefully it will end up on the new album because we all loved it. It was supposed to be a surprise, but durring sound check they practiced it and everyone who was in line for his show heard it, so it ruined the surprise.

My "Awwwww" moment happened when he read this sign a little girl had with her that said "David, I would love to meet you." So he had one of the security guards get her and put her up on the stage. Her name was Logan. He asked her if she made her sign and she said "What?" So I guess she was nervous. He asked her again and she said "Yes." Then she asked him if her sister could come up and he said "Yes." When she got up there, you could tell when she talked that she was a little freaked out to be meeting David Cook. He let them stay on the side of the stage the rest of the show. I see now why we all say he wears his heart on his sleave because he did last night. Needless to say, those two sisters will have a memory that will last a life time.

Will, that's my report. Can't wait to see him again durring the next tour.
